Mack's Emergency Last Night

The nursing home called about 1 a.m. last night to inform us that Mack vomited blood around 12:30 and they were sending him to the local hospital in Farmville to have him checked out.

Around 6:30 this morning the nursing home supervisor called again to tell us that Mack had been admitted to the hospital for upper GI bleeding. He is in the Farmville Southside Community Hospital on the third floor, room 313. Richard talked with the doctor a little while ago and was told that they will be doing a scope analysis, and if necessary, surgery on Mack this morning to carterize any ruptured blood vessels and get him stabalized. No one has stated what may have caused the upper GI bleed.

Unfortunately, the nursing home cannot hold Mack's room for him indefinitely, so there's a possibility that he may get another room at Trinity Mission or go to another nursing home when he is released from the hospital.

As soon as I know more, I will post it.

Ruth & Richard
